This could become a real problem. Up until this time they were more or less targeting/racial profiling Middle-Eastern/Arab-type individuals for terrorism potential. One of the reasons he wasn't checked was because he 'didn't fit the profile'. If the focus now shifts to more people of African descent ....

Pretty much all the religions that I have any personal knowledge of tend to have the same basic fundamental tenants: 1) There is a "God"/"Supreme Being" that it's centered around; 2) it has a set of "rules"/"laws" that govern it; and 3) there is some directive to somehow acknowledge/worship/show reverence to that "God"/"Supreme Being" in some way. I don't believe it is necessarily religion itself, especially in this day and age, but, I do believe that it has been man all along that has distorted what the religion is supposed to be or mean for his own gain and/or control over the masses (in the place of God, really). But, there is plenty of violence and encouragement to commit violence in most religious texts. In the Bible, alone, the Old Testament conflict with the New Testament, and in the Old Testament there is a lot of references...

There are so many red flags in this story its unreal. The truth is that many (here and elsewhere) don't really care one way or another about what's going on in Africa (anywhere on the continent). The primary interest only in things that appear to reinforce a stylized and romanticized view of how Black people should approach liberation. The truth of the situation represents a problem to that romanticized view, so its dismissed and things (like the thread title) are repeated.
